Day 01: Arrival
Arrive Ben Gurion Airport where you will be met by your guide and bus driver. Continue to Nazareth where Jesus spent His early years and visit Mary's Well and the Church of Annunciation. Just North of Nazareth visit the village of Cana, the site where Jesus' first miracle. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 02: Capernaum Mt of Beatitudes, Tabgha, Boat ride, Yardenit Tiberiaas
After breakfast, drive up the Mt of Beatitudes where Jesus preached the sermon on the Mount. Visit Capernaum on the northwest shore where Jesus began his preaching career. The town is also well known during Second Temple, Roman and Byzantine periods. Visit Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of the Multiplication. Take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Time for reflection and prayer. Visit Yardenit where the Jordan River flows into the Sea of Galilee, this spot is close to the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 03: Jordan Valley, Beit Shean, Qumran, Dead Sea
After breakfast visit the Excavated ancient city of Beit Shean. Pass Jericho and continue to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Proceed to the Dead Sea and check into your hotel. Here you can experience floating in the waters of the Dead Sea which have amazing healing powers. Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea.
Day 04: Masada, Ein Gedi Dead Sea
After breakfast you will enjoy a half day of optional treatments a the hotel, enjoy the hotel's spa, specialising in Dead Sea treatments. Then drive Masada, ascend to the Hilltop Fortress by Cable Car to view the ruins of Herod's palace and fortifications which later served the Zealots to resist the Romans. Descend by Cable Car. Continue to David's place of refuge from Saul, Ein Gedi. Visit Ahava Dead Sea Minerals skin care factory. Back to your hotel at the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight.
Day 05: Old City of Jerusalem
After breakfast drive up to the Mt. Of Olives. Visit the Church of Dominus Flevit and the Pater Noster Church. Walk the traditional Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Enter the Old City through the St. Stephens Gate. Visit the Church of St. Anne and the Pools of Bethesda. You will walk along the Via Dolorosa also called the Way of the Cross. There are 14 Stations along the route each commemorating an event along Jesus' route to crucifixion. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Walk through the colourful bazzars. Visit Mt. Zion, the Tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Visit the Church fo St. Peter in Gallicantu built on the site of the house of the High Priest Caiaphas. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 06: Bethlehem, Western Wall, Temple Mount, Yad Vashem
After breakfast continue to Bethlehem the birthplace of Jesus. The town is dominated by the Church of the Nativity, built on the grotto where Jesus was born. Visit the Shepherds Fields. Drive to Jerusalem for Orientation and wonderful view of the Old City from the Hass Promenade. Visit the Western Wall the Holyest site of the Jewish Nation. Ascend tot he Temple Mount for visit (entry into the Mosque of Omar or Al Aksa Mosque is not permitted). Afternoon visit the Holocaust Museum, Yad Vashem. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 07: Ein Karem, Emmaus, Latrun
After breakfast visit the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed in the Shrine of the Book. Visit the model of Jerusalem as it was at the time of the Second Temple. Continue the town of Ein Karem, where John the Baptist was born. Continue to Ancient Emmaus and the Monastery at Latrun. Back to the hotel for farewell dinner and overnight.
Day 08: Tel Aviv, Departure
Today after breakfast we depart hotel and visit biblical Joppa where Jonah the Prophet boarded a ship bound for Tarshish. Transfer to the Airport for your flight to Cairo.
Afternoon and evening in Egypt
On arrival in Cairo transfer to visit the Pyrimids, Sphinx, world renowned Khan El Khalile Bazaar then enjoy a Felucca Boat ride on the Nile and have a farewell oriental dinner, and then transfer back to the airport for your onward flight to Johannesburg.
